Hello, and well done for finding your way here!
I am a slightly superstitious person, so I hope that it’s a good omen that my 13th blog post is #1 on the new site! I am so excited that nibl.co.nz has launched – this has been a long time coming. I know you’ve all been glued to the edges of your seats, frantically pressing the “refresh” button until the site appeared (oh, maybe that was just me!). Anyway, have a drink on me to celebrate…
But yay! We’re here, and now everything is in one place. You can read the blog, print recipes (still a few glitches to iron out there; I’m imagining you don’t want to print off pages of photos for each recipe, so give us a bit more time to get that one sorted out), read about and book yourself into workshops or demonstrations, and check out photos of past events (thanks for the fantastic photography, Isabella Harrex!)
It’s also such a relief for me that the site is live, as now when I employ my guerilla marketing strategy and hand out business cards and flyers to all and sundry, I don’t have to add the disclaimer (“the website isn’t live yet but you can find me on Facebook….”). I was about to get a t-shirt printed.
As an aside, I just looked up guerilla marketing, to check that I was using the term correctly. According to Wikipedia, I am not, as I haven’t yet utilised graffiti, sticker bombing, or flash mobs. But wait what was that – flash mobs?!?
I definitely think that the launch of this website warrants a flash mob. Just let me know if you want to join me, or else it may be quite a small “mob”.
Even if you’re not in the mood for a flash mob, you might fancy coming along to a demo or workshop. We only have two public events left this year – an Extrawdinary Food Demo on Wednesday 30th October and Rawcous Desserts and Festive Treats on Sunday 10th November (this one may be repeated if there is sufficient demand). You can read all about them under the Workshops and Demonstrations tab, or just click the link for the appropriate photo on the home page.
Because we’re so excited about going live, we’re doing a giveaway. The first 20 people who book using the online booking system go into a draw to win their registration for free (i.e., you’ll get a refund – one entry per person please). Both workshops have limited spaces, so you’ll need to get in quickly!
So anyway, have a wander around the website and let me know what you think. And please please please let me know if you have any trouble with it or spot any errors – it is well known that I have an irrational fear of typos! I’ve checked and checked…and now I’m off to start rehearsing for that flash mob.
