Farmers Market Smoothie (March) – Apricot Oat Goodness

Ingredients

1.5 cups water or nut milk

2 ripe pears, cores removed

3 apricots (or peaches), stones removed

1 banana

1 heaped tablespoon pumpkin seeds

1 heaped tablespoon almond or cashew butter

1/3 cup oats (or gluten-free substitute such as buckwheat flakes), soaked overnight and drained if possible

Dashes of cinnamon and vanilla

Maple syrup or honey (optional – to taste)

Directions

1Blend all ingredients until smooth. Depending on the ripeness of the pears, this may take some time if using a regular (i.e., not high-speed) blender. Best consumed immediately after it is made. Enjoy!
