
I am not one of those people who can miss breakfast. (Actually I’m not fond of missing any meals at all.) If I am ever required to fast for some reason, I am a seriously unhappy camper. Breakfast is right up there with breathing for me, in terms of being crucial to my day. So it’s pretty exciting to pull together some of my favourite easy breakfast recipes for next week’s demo, Good Morning Sunshine. (Thanks to my clever sister for the name inspiration, and it’s particularly apt right now – we could all do with some extra sunshine in the mornings!)
Given that, for many of us, breakfast happens in the wild and crazy before-work/school minutes, I’m a big fan of recipes that can be made and consumed super-fast. Breakfast in a glass is an awesome idea, in my opinion. Finalising the menu for this demo got me to thinking about how I am such a smoothie gal. Give me a smoothie over a juice any day. Looking through my photos, I have literally hundreds of photos of smoothies. And three of juice.

Now obviously we won’t be making all of my smoothie recipes – if we did, we’d be there until breakfast time the following day. But we are going to make some of the real doozy smoothies, and a pretty darn good juice (I love to cart as many noisy kitchen appliances around Dunedin as possible).
