Hello there!
I hope 2015 is off to a great start for you. I was lucky enough to have a lovely long holiday, chilling in the Central Otago sun, and I have to say it was the best run of blue skies and sunny days that I’d seen in a long, long time. All of which made for perfect ice cream weather! This lets me seque (or should I say segway, which will mean something to anyone else who’s almost been taken out by one of those contraptions on the Queenstown waterfront) seamlessly into business.
I may have mentioned, once or twice, that there’s a Nibl/Dear Colleen 2015 recipe calendar available – Seasons’ Eatings. The January recipe is all about ice cream – watermelon, mint and berry ice cream, to be precise. As promised, each month I’ll post a photo of the finished product – this time we substituted blueberries for the raspberries, and the photo above shows you how it looked.
It went down a treat, I tell you! I’d love to see how your kitchen forays turn out when you make the calendar recipes – please feel free to share on Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest, tag with “niblonthis”, and I’ll spot them. (As an aside, I can’t be Nibl on social media – that’s already taken by the Northern Ireland Bouldering League, or the Nepalese Investment Bank Limited, or something. But – surprise! – niblonthis was still up for grabs).
