Well…I just can’t believe we’re at this point in the year already. It seems like just yesterday I was packaging up hundreds and hundreds of calendars, and sending them off all around the country. Where oh where did 2015 go?
This month’s recipe from the Seasons’ Eatings calendar is Peach and Mango Custard Tarts. The fresh, NZ-grown peaches must be on their way soon – and isn’t it a treat to bite into a perfectly fresh one? I can’t wait. If you want to get all fancy with them – and who doesn’t now and then – try these tarts. The roasted almond base is out-of-this-world delicious, and the “custard” made with peaches and mangoes instead of dairy is still one of my all-time favourite Nibl recipes.
Sadly there’s no Seasons’ Eatings calendar for next year – and thanks to everyone who’s enquired about that. We do have a few copies of the mini recipe book available, so if you missed out on the calendar for this year, you can still get a copy of the recipes.
That’s over and out from me for this year folks! Thanks for keeping me company on the website this year. I’m planning to sit on a beach and stare at the sky for hours – maybe days, or even weeks (in contrast to the last few months, which have involved staring at the computer screen for hours on end!).
