Well here we are in autumn already in NZ and I don’t know about you. but I’m really noticing the differences! I’m pretty sure you know that I have a smoothie most days of the week. Dark, brisk mornings make me want to switch from fresh and summery green smoothies to something more substantial – and that’s what this month’s Seasons’ Eatings recipe is all about.
I love this one! It’s easy to switch it up and make use of whatever gorgeous fruit you have on hand – apples can be substituted for pears; plums are awesome in place of apricots. I haven’t tried greengages but they’d probably be delicious too. Go crazy, people! My smoothie recipes are meant to be played with. Show me what you’ve made on instagram or facebook and tag #niblonthis so we can all enjoy your March smoothie goodness.
This recipe is also a blast from the past – meaning that it’s appeared on this blog before. So if you don’t have a Seasons’ Eatings calendar or recipe book (and we still have some left of each – you can buy the recipe books here, or email me directly if you want to grab one of the last few calendars), you can see the recipe here. And if you want to know how I make nut milk, that recipe is here. Oh, and for everyone who wants to buy nut milk bags (which seem to be flying out the virtual door of the Nibl shop), they’re now available in two sizes (medium and large). So now there’s no excuse – if you haven’t already, hitch yourself a ride on this smoothie bandwagon. Too easy.
